A Bit About Me

Matthew Cavanaugh hails from Sidney, Montana, but found his home in Missoula when he arrived for school in 2000, and he's been rooted here ever since. His career in the restoration industry began back in 1996 with Restorx of Montana, where he started working part-time while still in school. Over the past 26 years, this journey has evolved into a rich tapestry of experiences and expertise.

Today, Matthew stands as an authority in the field, holding certifications as an IICRC Master water and fire restorer, along with being recognized as a Water Loss Specialist by the Restoration Industry Association.

When he's not immersed in the world of restoration, Matthew cherishes his time by the lake, enjoying precious moments with his beloved wife Trish and their four wonderful children: Addy, Reilly, Sayler, and Maya. His biggest inspiration remains his father Greg, whose lessons in hard work and dedication have profoundly shaped Matthew's values and approach to life.

Beyond his professional and personal pursuits, Matthew is deeply engaged in his community. He's a passionate supporter of Montana Grizzly athletics and North Dakota Fighting Sioux Hockey, reflecting his love for sports.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Matthew generously gives back to his community. He coaches Missoula Youth Hockey and mentors young athletes as a Little League Baseball coach with Westside Little League.

His commitment to the community extends further as he serves as the Board President of the Missoula Building Industry Association and dedicates his time monthly to volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House.
